Short description of your business:
Center for Human Services (CHS) is a community-based not-for-profit youth and family services agency that has been a resource to children, adults and families since 1970. We serve community members through our three core program areas:
- Family Counseling
- Family Support Centers
- Substance Abuse Treatment and Prevention
Since opening its doors in October 2004, the Northshore Family Center has been an informal community-based center where families and individuals can find activities, support, resources and services designed to meet their needs and interests. We provide programming in the areas of Early Childhood Education, Youth Development, and Adult Education.

What is unique about your business that you feel distinguishes you among others offering similar products or services?
CHS believes that the most critical element for strengthening a community is to strengthen its members and their families through preventive and responsive programs that are culturally competent. This is accomplished by taking an approach that is strengths-based, family focused and integrated.

Most of the programs at Northshore Family Center are free and open to the community. We are always looking for businesses and volunteers who want to partner with us to build a stronger community!
